They say a goldfish will grow to fit the size of his bowl. That's like me and my crafting materials. Until this weekend- I had some materials in the basement, some in our guest room and some more in a spare room that I called the sewing room. This weekend I moved all craft stuff downstairs, we moved the guest room into the former sewing room and made some empty space for the baby. We don't have a crib yet, but will likely order one very soon, because that can take some time, I guess.
Yesterday, we heard that another family in our program was matched up with their new baby girl. We are so happy for them and can only imagine what they must be thinking right now! Such excitement! Here's the exciting part... this family submitted their paperwork around Thanksgiving! That means that they were matched up in about 3 months. Many families seem to be matched up 5-8 months-- but three! Wow!
We have a lot to do to get ready, and we will get started on it this weekend!
